One guide, labeled as one
How to win Deadly Days (2019)
The only full written route I will stand behind is El Henrico's Steam guide: start on Easy with the Research spec, take coffee, farm apples before you recruit, and prefer green or yellow missions.
Updated

Opening choices
Research is the recommended spec because it starts you with coffee, which lengthens the day, plus a heal that covers the map. Scavenge is the spec that unlocks Emergency Teleport. The guide ranks danger from 1 to 5, green through red, and tells you to take the lower colors and the smaller maps. Space pauses. Ctrl faces your attacks toward the cursor.
Apples, then people
Apple priority in that guide runs: supermarket and hospital, then the apple-tree tag, then vending-machine tags, the school bus, the greenhouse, radio-room airdrops, the recycler, and treasure zombies. Recruiting before the apple pile is the mistake the guide is trying to stop. Base rooms it names: a planning room for upgrades, a radio room or greenhouse for food, and either a rocket workshop or a satellite uplink depending on the ending you want.
Two ways to finish
- Build the rocket and leave Earth.
- Shut down the burger factory.
A captain dying is not a lost run. The next survivor inherits the spec abilities. A graveyard mission can bring someone back. Tools come from the hardware store, the forklift, and vending machines. The community wiki lists dozens of survivor traits, including a murderer chance, a weapon-expert cap at 100 percent, and a toughness cap at 100 extra HP. I am not turning that list into a damage calculator. The Steam description also mentions 60+ items, 30+ special abilities, three specs, and three bosses. Those are store sentences, not a walkthrough.

Update 1.5, Fly me to the moon, added base rooms such as a greenhouse and a machine shop, plus crafted weapons. I do not have a later official post that says updates stopped, so I will not write that they did. This is not the Roadtrip backpack guide. Repeaters, Death, and the workbench live on the Roadtrip hub.

Questions
How many sources is this route?
One Steam guide for the route itself. The store page confirms the three specializations and the rocket-versus-factory fantasy. The wiki adds the trait list.
Does this apply to Roadtrip?
No. Roadtrip is a different game with a backpack grid. Use the Roadtrip character and item pages for that.
